Company
At TruAthletes, we are working to create the most unique environment on the web for high school athletes. We are asking high school athletes to unite, to trust their coaches on the most effective training techniques so that they can excel in the sport of their passion, and to accomplish their goals through hard work and dedication as opposed to short cuts with steroids, or other damaging drugs. We are asking parents, teammates, coaches, and community to rally behind these athletes, to guide them to make good decisions, on and off the playing field. We want the TruAthletes to reach out to their opponents and competitors, with respect that they too want to achieve the same success and make the same good decisions. TruAthletes is a new generation of athletes that are health conscious, dedicated and driven. If we keep one kid or athlete away from steroids, drugs, and alcohol, then the site has been a success. But if this positive movement takes hold and a new generation of athletes build strong work habits, make ethical and good decisions, and improve their athletic experience then TruAthletes has surpassed our expectations. We believe in the positive influence that high school sports has on young men and women, and just hope to make that experience a little better. Thanks and your support is appreciated.

Our Team
Jim Campbell
Jim has spent almost his entire career in telecommunications or technology, but never lost his love for high school sports. With three sons that played in various sports and band, he saw firsthand what positive influences the parents, fans, and community can have on the local student athletes.
Jim always wanted to partner with his brother David G. Campbell, an award winning sportswriter in Texas, in ways to bring his technology background into the sports arena, in an effort to showcase the best of high school sports. Jim wants to offer a platform which promotes the local teams and athletes, but to also create a movement that keeps the athlete true (TRU) to the sport and to themselves. He wants to start a movement which instills a sense of honor to be a TruAthlete, free of many of the negative peer pressures high school students face, and to create a positive environment for athletes to learn training techniques, habits, skills, and an athletic lifestyle free of performance enhancing drugs, recreational drugs, and alcohol.
Jim also believes there is a story tied to every high school athlete that needs to be told. Sometimes the most inspirational story does not always involve the best athlete, but a behind the scenes tale that is usually only known to the local community. He wants to give them an environment where they experience the Trust, Respect, and Unity from their team, coaches, sportswriters, parents, and community. This is why he created TruAthletes.

Nicolas Campbell
Nicolas grew up around athletics. From little league baseball to high school varsity football, sports was a great influence on his life. Nicolas’ experience in high school athletics exposed him to the discipline and brotherhood of being on a team and also to a very human life experience surrounding the loss of a teammate. He saw first hand how a team can unite behind a cause. Nicolas was on a semi-finalist football team so he experienced the thrill of the playoffs, a whole different season.
Nicolas is currently pursuing a degree at Sam Houston State University. When not studying in the campus library, he can be found at local sporting events, on the golf course, or fishing with friends. His love of outdoor sports, interest in social networking, and creative personality make him a great addition to the TruAthletes team.
